Billy Joel and wife Katie Lee use Miami Beach as a backdrop for their winter.
On July 8th, Billy will release a deluxe, remastered, 30th anniversary edition of his 1977 album, The Stranger. The deluxe edition will feature a 48-page booklet and 4-discs; the original album remastered; a previously unreleased concert at New York's Carnegie Hall from June, 1977; another live show from The Stranger tour; and a bonus DVD of the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test, and two live promotional videos.
Billy will have the honor of being the last musical artist to perform at Shea Stadium, July 16th and 18th. The New York Mets are moving to the new Citi Stadium for the 2009 baseball season.
The "Last Play At Shea" will make Billy the only artist to have performed at both Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium; it's also the first in-season concert since 1992.
