    YIPPEEEEEE! The Bridge Tender returns

Jeanie Curtiss has her job back and rightfully so. My original post on July 30th told the story of the lovely Ft. Lauderdale bridge tender who lost her job, trying to do the right thing. Many of you expressed your outrage to the Sun-Sentinel columnist who wrote the story, and the company that fired Jeanie. The outpouring of protest letters, the monetary donations to Jeanie, and even offers of help job hunting proves that South Floridians have zero tolerance for unjust behavior and even more heart. Kudos to you.

How many songs have been written for you?

The woman who inspired George Harrison to write "Something" and Eric Clapton to write "Layla" and " Wonderful Tonight", has written her story. Pattie Boyd's autobiography, 'Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me', was released today. Should make for interesting, voyeuristic reading!!
