What a great way for the Flach's to begin Mother's Day Weekend!!

I received an email from Michael Flach about his missing brother. I've reprinted the information here - he's a big guy, so keep an eye out for him!

    PLEASE HELP: MISSING

DANIEL FLACH (FLOCK) FROM SUNNY ISLES
    AREA SINCE WED MORN 4/30/08

    Is your qwerty dirty?

I'm not being flirty... but you sure are purty... sorry, went a little rhyme nuts.

Did you know that your computer keyboard is most likely more germ-ridden than a toilet seat?

Oh, and your cell phone... yep, more germs than a toilet seat.

Women's desks are nastier, germ-wise, than men's desks.

Here's a good one: 70% of the time, toilet water was found to be cleaner than most fast-food ice dispensers.

Before you go bathe in Germ-X, remember that all germs are not created bad. That being said, I probably won't be ordering a soda from the drive-through anytime soon.

    Rock for the brain

Rockin' for the Cure is a benefit concert for the Florida Brain Tumor Association; it's happening this Saturday night at the Hollywood Playhouse. A longtime fixture on the South Florida music scene, Stuart Posin, is the organizer of this cranial soiree. Jeff "Mega" Watkins, who for years played here with Iko-Iko and The Groove Thangs before moving on to the James Brown Band will perform, as will The Hep Cat Boo Daddies.

    If it's too loud...

If you haven't yet heard of the Young @ Heart Chorus, you may want to sit down, Grandma.

Twenty-five years ago, Bob Cilman founded the group that recently became the subject of a documentary. The 27-member chorus features men and women in their 70's, 80's, and 90's.

    Revisit R.A.D.

Way back in August '07, I posted a link to R.A.D., or Rape Aggression Defense. In a recent FDLE report, out of 2.3 million women that were sexually assaulted, 71% reported avoiding being raped by using self-defense measures. You can find a class in South Florida, usually for no charge.

    Help shoe-in another

Now through May 11th, you can donate your unwanted, interview-ready shoes to your local Naturalizer store. They in turn will donate your shoes, plus a pair of brand new Naturalizer shoes to Dress for Success. But wait, that's not all - Naturalizer will also offer you a 20% discount on a pair of shoes for you!

    Hungry in book form

One of my favorite websites is Hungry-Girl.com. It's a great place to find low-calorie alternatives and low-fat recipes. My favorite part of the site is the "Chew This" page; a comparison of say, cupcakes - which you should bite, and which you should fight... and why!
Now, Hungry-Girl founder Lisa Lillien has put her fabulous finds into book form. Hungry Girl: Recipes and Survival Strategies for Guilt-Free Eating in the Real World is filled with great swaps for healthy-less-caloric-yet-still-tasty eats. Mangia!

    Are you smart enough?

There's a new online dating service called Intelligent People. In order to sign up, you must first pass their IQ test. You can take the test only twice - if you can't pass, you can't be part of their program... Tempted to take the test just to see if you'll pass? Me too!
