They're heeeere... recent releases of interest

Carol Anne is back!- It's the 25th anniversary of Poltergeist ! Directed by Steven Spielberg, the Poltergeist 25th Anniversary Edition arrives on DVD October 9th.

Also just released, Clapton: The Autobiography by Eric Clapton. From learning his "sister" was really his mum, to falling in love with his friend's wife, to his heroin and alcohol abuse, to losing his 4-year old son in a tragic accident, Eric holds nothing back; and then there's all the music history to go through. Seems as though the book should be more than 352 pages! Eric is happily married with two young daughters , and he has another daughter from a previous relationship. Clapton has said, "The last 10 years have been the best of my life". Well sure, word is, bidding for the rights to publish Eric's life story was over $6 million dollars.
An aside to the falling-in-love-with-his-friend's-wife portion of the story. That wife, Patti Boyd, recently released her autobiography. For more details on her best selling book, see my blog dated 8/28/07.

    Use hazard lights properly

Early this morning, while driving through driving rain, many of my fellow motorists had their hazard lights on - the only problem is that they were moving! It is illegal to drive with your hazard lights on in the rain (or not). It can also be dangerous, adding to the problem of a low-visibility downpour. The nonmoving violation could cost you $70, or worse, an accident.

    The 2007 Florida Statutes

    (10) A violation of this section is a noncriminal traffic infraction, punishable as a nonmoving violation as provided in chapter 318.
