    Hola Dolly! Baby Abuelita

One of my vivid childhood memories, is that of my grandmother singing "Luna Mezzo Mare (Lazy Mary)" to me. While I don't think it was her intention, years later I realized my grandmother was treating me to a very risque little ditty (explains a lot).
Recently, I read a story about two Miami women who'd created a grandparent doll that sings Spanish nursery rhymes and thought, "What a great idea!". Abuelita Rosa wears her bata de casa, y Abuelito Pancho proudly dons his guayabera. There are "baby" dolls in the line as well as books and, you can even purchase ring tones... Campanitas!
This Saturday, November 17th at 4 p.m., Baby Abuelita Dolls will be in the "Miracle on 136th Street" Parade at The Falls .

What did your grandma, abuela, nana, or mimi sing to you? Let me know - post a comment, please!

    This cereal's killer!

Imagine going into a restaurant and having your choice of 60 brand-name cereals. No, not buffet- style, but with a waiter or waitress asking if you'd like your bowl of 1/2 Reese's Puffs and 1/2 Golden Grahams with Skim, half and half, lactose-free, whole, 2% or soy milk. Reality is upon us my cereal lovin' friends, via the Cereal Connection in Plantation. You can also add toppings to your cereal, from fresh fruit to Oreo cookie chunks. Here's to staying crunchy in milk!
