    Pratice safe shopping

Safety-wise, shopping at malls in South Florida has become menacing at best. A bit of extra awareness on your part will go a long way toward keeping you safe. What does that mean?

Since a majority of mall crimes happen in parking areas, you should: Scan the area where you're parking, don't hang out in your car, and don't talk on the cell phone whether it be in the car, or walking into the mall.

Most definitely trust your instincts; even if you don't see anybody, if you feel something ain't right, head for a safe place. You can go so far as to ask a security guard to walk you to your car.
Let's keep shopping the joyous privilege it's always been.

    Jaxson's Ice Cream

Jaxson's Ice cream Parlor & Restaurant in Dania Beach has been around since 1956. Their signature dish is the 'kitchen sink' , and yes, it's served in a kitchen sink. However, Jaxson's is trying to get bragging rights for a different dish. Jaxson's made the final four in Good Morning America's "Best Scoops Challenge" for their flavor called Cherry Garden; red and black cherries and chocolate chips in vanilla ice cream. You have through May 23rd at noon to vote! Look for the 'Spring into Spring' section near the lower left part of the web page. Under that heading you'll see "vote for the Best Scoops in America".

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Jaxson's was not voted the nation's best ice cream shop. The honor went to Moomer's Ice Cream in Traverse City, Michigan; however, we know where to find the 'kitchen sink'.

    Ex-Boyfriend Jewelry

You don't want it. He can't have it back. That's the motto of Ex-Boyfriend Jewelry, a site where women can sell the jewelry left over from relationships that didn't work out. You can even donate your proceeds to the Good Karma Fund (benefits the Susan G. Komen Foundation), or use the funds help to help victims in China or Myanmar.
    Don't get mad, get sellin'!
