You made sure that all 174 members of the J.P. Taravella Marching Trojans get to be part of history!!
As of this afternoon, nearly all the money needed has been raised, and the band is now on their way to Washington, D.C.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!!



There's still time to help the J.P. Taravella Marching Trojans raise all the money they need to get the entire band to Washingtion, D.C.

Beef ''O'' Brady's, 10079 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Sunrise, is donating 15 percent of sales on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5-9 p.m. to the band.
Pizza Stop, 8275 NW 88th Ave. in Tamarac, will donate 15 percent of all orders to the trip through Friday.Also, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will match all donations up to $20,000 made through Neighbors 4 Neighbors.
Donations can be made by mailing checks to Neighbors 4 Neighbors, 8900 NW 18th Terr., Doral, FL 33172. (Checks should be made out to Neighbors 4 Neighbors Family Fund, with J.P. Taravella band noted in the memo area and on the envelope.)

South Florida Fair begins

The South Florida Fair beings tomorrow and runs through February 1st. Rides include the RC-48, the largest portable roller coaster in the U.S. The fairground's location may be familiar to concert goers - it's on the Cruzan Amphitheater property in West Palm Beach.

Free Ansel Adams Exhibit

You can see the work of photographer Ansel Adams for free through the end of the month.

The Sunrise Civic Center Art Gallery hosts Ansel Adams: The Man Who Captured the Earth's Beauty.

Ansel Adams is one of the most celebrated photographers of the twentieth century recognized for his dramatic black and white photographs of the American wilderness. This traveling exhibition of Adams western landscapes is organized by the Mint Museum of Art, Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Gallery is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
