    Slow the H2O this Tuesday

With Lake Okeechobee 4 feet below its historical average this time of year, the SFWMD has tightened restrictions on our water usage. The new, one-day-a-week watering schedule goes into effect Tuesday, January 15th. It's as follows and I quote:

Odd street addresses may water lawns Mondays from 4 to 8 a.m. or 4 to 8 p.m.

Even street addresses may water lawns Thursdays from 4 to 8 a.m. or 4 to 8 p.m.

Hand-watering with a hose and shutoff nozzle is allowed for 10 minutes on any day to save stresses or dying plants.

No restrictions on boat or car washing.

Additional watering days allowed for new lawns and plantings for up to 60 days.
