    Help clear our sphere

    It's Earth Month, indeed!
You can recycle a whole lot more than paper and plastic!
You can donate your old prescription eyeglasses at any Lenscrafter, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical, Target Optical, or Sunglass Hut.
Give the outdated cell phone back to the store from which you bought it, donate it to a shelter, or try a Best Buy or Office Depot in-store recycling kiosk. Also, Motorola has a free mail-back program.
Yes, even your old (smelly?) sneakers can be donated for recycling. Your kicks can help create playground flooring!
iPOds can be brought to an Apple Store or donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. You can also donate all MP3 players to eBay Giving Works.
For computers try the National Cristina Foundation as well as Dell and Hewlett-Packard recycling programs.
If it's DVD's, TV's, and stereos you aim to recycle, try a donation to the Miami Rescue Mission.
You can even peruse the Freecycle Network, whereby you can give and get stuff for free within your town, thereby avoiding throwing things away. Remember: One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Make sure you don't trash hazardous items, like paint, cleaners, fluorescent bulbs, fertilizer, etc.
You can find places near you that will either recycle or dispose of the gunk safely.
On behalf of the Planet Earth, thanks!!
