There is a website dedicated solely to infidelity; surviving it, coping with it, identifying it, and tools to prevent it. Studies show that even 'happy' couples can fall prey to affairs. There's also a form of cheating known as financial infidelity. Interestingly enough, economics is one of the reasons given for South Florida couples choosing to stay together.
There are two high-profile celebrity divorces in the news right now, both the breakups blamed on unfaithfulness.
Has modern technology changed the definition of what it means to be faithful? For instance, chat rooms - is it cheating to have chats with the opposite sex? How about viewing erotic websites without your spouse?

In the August issue of Cosmo, there's an article titled 'Why Guys Cheat in the Summer'. Sure, girls do it to, but according to the study, guys are more prone to cheat in the summer because guys are more likely to stray in general. Some of the reasons: Lots of guys associate summer with adventure and the usual rules don't apply. People are more social in the summer, so more friendly flirting and less clothing leads to increased chances for an affair.
