    They call it puppy love

People love their dogs, it's true! We were just wondering how you feel about dogs in restaurants? Dogs at sidewalk cafes? How about dogs in malls, department or grocery stores? Let me know by posting a comment.

We know you're a dog loving community due to 2,000 of you lining up last week for the chance to adopt 130 dogs that were rescued from a puppy mill in Tennessee.

We do know more offices are embracing a Take-Your-Dog-To-Work Day, which was June 20th.

If you travel a lot with your dog, or would like to, there are many products to enhance the experience for your pup. There are also hotels that not only embrace your pup, they provide gourmet dog food! Fifteen dollar grilled chicken paillard with liver snaps, anyone?

Even if you're staying at home, there are lots of places you can bring your dog, not the least of which, off-leash dog parks.
    In Miami-Dade:
Dog Chow Dog Park -2400 S Bayshore Drive Coconut Grove
    Bark Park -401 E. 65th Street Hialeah
Amelia Earhart Park Bark Park -401 East 65th Street Miami
Flamingo Bark Park -13th Street and Michigan Avenue Miami Beach
In Broward & West Palm Beach:
Boca Raton Dog Park -751 Banyan Trail Boca Raton
Sportsplex Dog Park -2575 Sportsplex Drive Coral Springs
Lake Ida Dog Park -2929 Lake Ida Road Delray Beach
Bark Park At Snyder Park -3299 S.W. 4th Avenue Fort Lauderdale
Poinciana Dog Park -1301 S 21st Avenue Hollywood
Pembroke Pines Dog Park -9751 Johnson Street Pembroke Pines
Happy Tails Dog Park at Seminole Park -6600 SW 16th Street Plantation
    Barkham at Markham Park -16001 W H 84 Sunrise
Dog Park -2975 Greenbriar Blvd Wellington
Pooch Park -7715 Forest Hill Blvd/H 882 West Palm Beach

How do you feel about chaining a dog outside? A doberman, who's chain had to be surgically removed from her neck, was rescued from a Southwest Ranches home and is the poster dog for the Human Society's "Break the Chain" campaign.

There's even a major motion picture due out, filmed right here in South Florida, about a man and his best friend. Marly & Me is based on the best selling book by former Sun-Sentinel columnist John Grogan. You'll be able to heel the love on Christmas Day.

Since we're in the dreaded Hurricane season (go away Bertha), it's always wise to have a plan for your dog, should you need to evacuate. There are pet friendly shelters in Miami-Dade and Broward, but usually, you need to be registered in advance.

Those are the dogged facts - I hope we've shed some light on dog lovers.
