Well, truth be told, I've already lost it. FIFTY pounds gone, daddy, gone. Over the last 5 years or so, I put on some weight - you know how it goes, I was eating too much of the wrong foods.
I had all the excuses, too. Bottom line, you can make all the excuses in the world and you're still overweight. So I finally had the opportunity to do something about it! I've had so many people ask me how I did it, I thought I'd share the details with you! Click here for a coupon to save $100 when you do it for yourself, and then read my story:
I joined the Quick Weight Loss (QWL) Program in September of 2007. I wasn't sure what to expect from them... or me - I mean, would I be able to be disciplined? I knew AllCarbKimba wasn't going to cut it anymore! I had to make a decision - did I really want to do this? And, if I did, I needed to go into it fully prepared to do whatever it took to make it work. That meant no cheating!!! That meant listening to whatever the Quick Weight Loss consultants told me I needed to do! That meant stepping on a scale for the first time in ???!! That meant temporarily giving up some of my favorite foods!
Once I made the decision that I was going to do this, to really do this, it was cake (pun intended, but there was no cake for a while)! It's not the QWL program that's difficult or depriving, it's the mindset of the person trying to lose weight.
The QWL consultants are informative, supportive, and patient. Realize they have to deal with people like me that may stop in a bit unhappy in those first few days/weeks... or maybe that was just me! Again, it's not that you're being deprived of food, just some of the foods that got you to this point in the first place.
I had the added bonus of training for a marathon, so my program was tweaked to reflect extra exercising. Each QWL program is tailored to your individual needs, and to ensure optimum health while losing the weight.
I stuck to the program and started seeing results fairly quick. QWL gave me a menu/recipe assist over the holidays, so I was able to have pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. Yep, I not only made it through the holidays, I lost weight doing it. Seeing results is when the major incentive to stick to the program really kicks in!
By January of 2008, I'd reached my goal of 50lbs!!! I went on a ski trip and that's when I really noticed the difference of not having the excess poundage... not to mention the ski clothes fit a whole lot better! This is also around the time when the truth from all your friends and coworkers comes out, albeit in compliments. Things like, "You look so amazing - I almost don't recognize you" and "You've lost so much weight - you look so good" and "You don't even look like the same person - you look fantastic" - you get the idea.
It's now been 6 months since I've reached my goal, and I still visit the QWL Center regularly. QWL (and I) make sure I'm still on track and maintaining a healthy weight.
I'm not on the "program" anymore, which means I'm free to eat absolutely anything I'd like.
If you're wondering - I don't. There are some foods that were a regular staple of my diet and I've not had since September of '07. I've realized there are some foods, as good as they are, aren't worth putting me back where I was. It's all about choices, and I have enough food choices that I can be disciplined enough to know which choices would be detrimental to what I've accomplished.
If you're ready to make a smart, healthy change in your eating habits and in turn, your lifestyle,
find the Quick Weight Loss Center nearest you and get a free evaluation.
Then, let me know how you do!
